Play with us! Join the Orchestra For All, a short series of four rehearsals and a concert of classical tunes old and new, free of charge and open to all players of any ability and experience.

The programme includes well-known music from film, theatre, TV and concert hall:

• Ride of the Valkyries from Wagner's The Ring opera

• How to Train Your Dragon selection from the films

• Florence Price's Symphony No. 1 3rd movement

• Mambo from West Side Story by Bernstein

• Mussorgsky's A Night on the Bare Mountain

• Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams

• Grasswalk from Plants vs Zombies (game)

• Finlandia by Sibelius

 

The pieces are arranged in parts for beginners, grade 1-3, and grade 4-5 abilities, which can all be played together.

If you have ever wanted to try playing with an orchestra, or if you used to play but you're a bit rusty, or if you're an experienced player, then this is for you!  Everyone is welcome, as long as you play an instrument and you can read music.
